Spreading awareness
of South Asian culture

UC San Diego's largest South Asian association, SangamSD aspires to promote South Asian awareness and education within our UCSD community and the greater San Diego region. Although we serve to spread awareness of the South Asian community, we are by no means an exclusive organization. Anyone with an interest in South Asian culture, community service, or social activities, is always welcome.







My friends and I wanted an organization to embrace our culture and educate others about our culture in a fun way, and we fulfilled our wish. As for where it is today, Sangam has far exceeded what we could have dreamed. It is wonderful to see each successive class do more with an idea born from a group of friends hanging out on the grass at UCSD in 1986!
